A heartfelt film that is not what you expect!
The story line in this movie was amazing. It was a little predictable, but I loved that it wasn't a film that only focused on them rebuilding a zoo, they actually made it a character driven movie. I loved the character development also, and the humor was very well written also, and did not feel out of place.
The acting was great. Matt Damon did a great job portraying all the different emotions that his character brought. Scarlett Johansson was charming as always. Colin Ford arguably did the best job in this movie, for a kid his age (at the time) to act as real as he did was impressive. Elle Fanning was very sweet with her performance also (I really hope she is cast as Princess Zelda.) Thomas Haden Church stole the show with his performance, and did a great job as the comedic relief.
Loved all the different animals in this film as well. I was really glad they didn't just limit themselves to only a select few animals. The Tigers looked really beautiful also!
Very well done film, and I'm glad that I revisited this classic heartwarming tale!
Out of 4 stars I would give it...
